    In some places people were obliged to stay in their houses as the snow had drifted against the door. Then they had to break the door and with great trouble cleared passages in the snow to get out to fodder their cattle.
    This storm so damaged the cattle, the dwelling houses and the out offices, that the farmers were obliged to repair them again to make them habitable.
