  1. Most people in my district, believe that when the sky is free from clouds, and the sun is going down red in the evening, it denotes good weather. And when there are copper coloured clouds in the sky at sunset it denotes coming bad weather.
    When seagulls fly inland there is going to be a storm on sea, and when they fly outwards again, the sea is very near calm.
    If the weather is bad and if the smoke is going up straight out of the chimneys around the place, the weather is going to get fine, and if the smoke goes crooked from the chimneys the weather will be bad.
    It is a sign of bad weather to see a rainbow in the morning but a rainbow in the evening is the sign of coming good weather.
    When the cat scrapes timber, it is also a sign of coming bad weather so that when the dark nights come, he will be ready to catch
