- About sixty years ago there lived a man near Ardfert, whos name was Paddy Ward. He died and was buried in Cloghbrien graveyard. Shortly afterwards his ghost was supposed to be seen near his tomb. A certain young lady who had two admirers lived a short distance away. She had very little affection for either of them and she thought of a poem to get rid of them. She made arrangements with number one to go to Paddy Ward's grave at twelve o'clock at night. He was to wear a white sheet and lie down behind the tomb. She gave the same instructions to number two, but he was to arrive a quarter of an hour later. That night when number two was climbing in over the wall of the graveyard number one arose from his hiding place, behind the tomb. They both frightened one another and they began to shout and roar. The police were patrolling nearby and hearing the commotion they came in and arrested the pair and took them to the barracks. The case was investigated in court in Tralee and the pair were a laughing stock(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
