- The Fort
There is a fort in a field owned by Mrs. Fitzpatrick of Knockbrack, Knochnagashel, Co. Kerry. there as three rings of fences around it. the rings are about three feet high and are much wider at the bottom than at the top.
Between the fences there are drains, three in number, and every day of the year there is about two feet of water in them. The water remains in them even in periods of great draught.
Inside the inner circle and just in the middle of the fort, there is a large stone. It is a very heavy stone (about) weighing about six hundred weight and it would take about three(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
