Ar an leathanach seo
- We have a churn at home. It is about six feet in height. It is three feet wide at the top and bottom The sides are round. The churn is about ten years old. The parts are the staff, the lid, the dash, the peg, and the jabbler. There are no marks on the side or bottom of the churn. Butter is usually made twice a week in Winter, and in Summer twice or three times a week. My mother generally does the churning at home. When strangers come into a house while churning is in progress they take the dash and churn for a few minutes. This is done to bring good luck to the cows. It usually takes about an hour to churn five gallons of milk. The churning is done by hand mostly. The dash is continually moved upwards(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
