- A red moon it is the sign of a wind. Stars shooting in the north is a sign of frost. Rainbows in the north are a sign of good weather. It is suppose whatever way the wind blows at Hallow Eve night it will blow that way for three months. When rain is coming rivers run faster and louder.
- When the blackbirds are hopping round the ditches it is a sign of snow. When the robin gets tame it is a sign of frost. When you see a crane that is a sign of rain. When the seabirds come inland it is a sign of a storm at sea. When the sun rises up early and bright it is a sign of rain. When the rainbow is in the sky late in the evening it is a sign that the next day will be good.
