When the clerk was going with Rover to drown him he met Murty Larry and he told him where he was going and he asked Murty to make a rhyme for the dog so Murty said - "Rover, Sweet Rover you frolicsome cur
When you were young a bird could stir
But now that you'r old and unable to bark
You are condemned by the clergy and
drowned by the clerk.
