Crows build their nests at the tops of large trees. Blue tits and crossbills and swallows make their nests in old stables. Robins make their nests in the sides of ditches and in old kettles and cans. A crane has such long legs that he makes a nest with a hole in the bottom and his legs can be seen protruding from it.
The old people say that if boys rob a robin's nest they will get warts on their hands. The reason why a blackbird has a yellow bill is that he dipped his bill in a pot of honey.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
