Money or dowry is given when it can be had but stock or any kind like that is not given in this locality.
Generally the bridegroom arrives at the church before the brige. After the ceremoney the bride and bridegroom travell either home to breakfast or to some station to go for a few days honeymoon. Hauling home or wedding procession is a thing of the past in this area. About sixty or seventy years ago people attended the wedding went on horse back but the bride-groom had a saddle called a pillon on which the two could sit on.
