- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)The Mr Henry who was responsible for giving the name Broomfield to the district and Poor Law Division, and who originally came from Broomhill, Durham, owned townlands to Culloville. When living in Bracca they owned all Bracca too. They kept a beautiful garden attached to the house and stocked a fish pond between the house and the main road. No trace, however, of the pond now remains. Henry was connected by marriage with Dr. Gilmore - dispensary doctor in Castleblayney. He lived at the Rectory in Broomfield - now as previously mentioned - the residence of Mr. P. FitzPatrick re-tired school teacher.
While Hamilton Mc Watt was living in Thornford (Rowntrees) he bought Bracca off Henry.
