- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)A few years ago there lived in Inniskeen a jolly fellow named Brady who used to drive cattle at the fairs, and he earned a few shillings that way. Unfortunately he would spend it on drink. He would travel from one fair to the other for miles around.
One day he was at the fair of Kells Co. Meath. As usual when he earned some money he called in a public - house. The publican's name was Hill and he called for a glass of brandy. The publican knew him well, he being a regular customer of his every fair day. As he was serving him with the brandy he said to him: - "Brady and Brandy differ but a letter." And if Brady drank less Brandy, Brady would be better." And Brady answered him by saying. "Hill and Hell differ but a letter, and if Hill was in Hell, Kells would be better."- Bailitheoir
