  1. Clothes.
    All the old women wore two drugget petticoats bound whith red tape, white knitted stockings, which they spun themselves and a drugget blouse. Then they had a long coat of black cloth with a hood or rosettes on the back to pull up over their heads, when it rained. They generally went in their bare heads.
    All the men wore calico shirts, with a linen breast on them. There were tucks down along the front in the linen, and they wore a black tie. They got a suit of clothes woven out of a sheep's fleece of wool. The tweed was made up near Cadamstown. The suit of clothes generally lasted for ten years. The little boys wore red flannel petticoats, until they were twelve years
