- Hidden TreasureThere are three bushes in John Gallaghar's field nearest the river in Lisadaly, Lisacul. It is believed that gold is hidden there in a cave underneath the bushes. Two local men, John Hunt and James Breheny dug for it and opened the cave. After a few hours they came to a thing like a black cat with fiery eyes and they ran away with fear. John Gallagher the owner tried to cut one of these bushes and he was struck in the eye. He never interfered with it since.
Gold is supposed to be hidden in Tom Gordan's field in [?]ummen, Lisacul. This is the field nearest the river. A light was once seen rising in the graveyard in Kilruane, it moved and stood over the place where the gold is hidden in Gordan's field. It moved to the Dúnán in Cloonaholly where it disappeared.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
