For coarse "draguet" equal numbers of linen threads and woollen threads were used.
The finer and better quality of "droguet" and get by weaving three parts woollen yarn with one part linen yarn. The weaving was done on hand-looms, a knd of frame made of wood.
These materials were sometimes worn their natural colour. Home-dyeing, however, often provided the people with some coloured stuffs.
"Droguet" was usually dued brown, or bronze.
