She would arrive in Dublin at the end of the day with a pair of womens stockings knitted. She would get her goods and start back next day and have another pair of womens stockings completed. This is a distance of sixty three miles both ways.
Great Jumpers. Patrick Carroll, Gardenstown jumped the mountain river which was sixteen feet wide. Tom Donohoe and Pat Hanley jumped a six feet gate.
