One day there was a flax 'meitheall' in a neighbour's house, and the boy was asked to the "meitheall".
The meitheall stopped for a rest and the men began to tell stories to see which of them was the best. The boy got tempted to tell his own story, so he said "You all have fine stories but I have an even better story than you all." He began to tell his Story and was only half-way when he got suddenly sick. One of the boys went for the priest, on horseback, but before the priest came the boy was dead.
