- Sore eyes.
Ivy leaves were used by the old people. They were first boiled and then applied to the eyes.

The root of the 'Bliscawn' was usually used for this disease. The herb was washed, and boiled for two hours. Then the juice was drunk by the patient .
Burns
The gall of the pig was supposed to be a safe cure for all kinds of burns and scalds. The old people always kept the gall of the pig for this purpose.
Removing Thorns
When a person gets a thorn in her hands of feet and she cannot remove it she will get it out with a foxe's tongue. The method is to leave it to the surface. All the old people who caught a fox(continues on next page) - Collector
