Long ago people had not the conveniences they have nowadays. They had to make of their necessities in their own homes. They made candles, soap, woolen clothes and other things In every Irish home there was a spinning-wheel Candle-making:- They used to pull rushes, dry, peal, and soak them in graece, Dip-candles they were called
Spinning and Weaving:-
First of all the wool was greased and carded. It was then rolled and spun. After this it was brought to a weaver who used to weave it into cloth(continues on next page)- Collector
