    TRAP:-
This was a variation of hurling played on the road, a strand or in a field.
A hurley, hurling-ball & small flat stick about the size of a foot-rule but thicker & stronger. A hole about 3" diam. was made in the road & one end of the stick, which was called a "naisiún" was put into the hole. On this end the ball was placed. A line was drawn across the road about 20 ft. out from the hole.
One player was chosen either by toss or otherwise to puck & the others spread out outside the "short-line".
