    and under no circumstances was a traveller to come inside these. One traveller went inside and got a bad beating. When he was going out of the village he stood on a hill and shouted down:-
    Aherla is a dirty spot,
    It stands without a steeple
    A nob of dung at every door
    Aren't they naughty people.
    and he also said this:-
    Aherla people are very tight,
    They wash their shifts every Saturday night.
    They give it a rub and a scrub of a stone
    And claps it up on the "yalla" backbone.
