  1. In a strand named Tráth na Thuile[?] there is a stone at the edge of one of the pools in the rocks. It is a very big one, about five feet high and twelve feet in circumference. One time there lived on the top of the hill a giant and his mother. The son wanted to go away, but his mother would not let him. They began fighting and the son managed to get away. As he was getting into the sea, his mother took up a big stone and flung it after him, but she missed and the stone landed on the rocks and is there every since.
