and his two sons went to dig the potatoes and when they went into the liss swarms of black bees about the size of a blackbird rose from the liss and drove them out of the field stinging them severely. As soon as the men went out of the field the bees went back again to the liss. One of the mans sons died shortly afterwards.
Music was also heard in that liss. One day two girls were binding corn in a field near the liss. They were both very interested in music and dancing so one said to the other. "If we had anyone to play music for us now we would dance". No sooner had she said it than they heard strange unearthly music coming from the liss. Together they raced homewards and told what they had heard. The following evening their brothers went to the liss and they heard the music more plainly and thought they heard dancing on the pavement below. Monstrous cats and dogs have also been seen in that liss.
