- There are several superstitions firmly believed in by the people in this district. Even the young men & women are inclined to "go" with the old people in adhering to all the pishogues. A pregnant woman is not supposed to attend a wake or at least go into the wake-room. Neither is she supposed to enter a graveyard with a funeral.
In carrying out a coffin it is supposed to be unlucky to turn back with the coffin.
If you borrow anything for a wake, the same person is supposed to carry it back.
It is the godfather is supposed to coffin the dead person if its a young person.
