  1. On the site of Brennan's Bakery stood the old church commonly called "The old Preaching House or the Seekers' Church."
    The Church was built by the Rev. Edward King who got the ground on lease @ 1/= per year from the Earl of Shannon in 1816.
    The last clergyman to officiate was Rev. M. Hunter who lived where Vickerys now live beyond old Carey's Cross.
