    the Hand or Jack the Brush, so called because he used collect old horse hair and give brushes instead. He sleeps by the kitchen fire in a farmer's house.     The special times for the assembling of all the tinkers are March Fair, St. John's Day and Dromagh Well Day. They also call on their way to Bally vourney Well.
    The Sheridans, although tinkers are great judges of horses and travel from fair to fair with the horse buyers. They are considered very wealthy men.
