Tinkers
“Tinkers are a very treacherous crowd.”
Tinkers are a very treacherous crowd. A few years ago they camped out east of Kilvoultra. They went to town and got drunk. They beat each other and the police put them in the lock-up for a few hours. When they were left out and when they were going up Tinkers Hill road there was a man living there in a cottage named Con Moynighan. They broke into him and gave him a beating so that he had to go to a doctor. Then they ran and the police caught them and put them into jail and one of them got six months and the other nine.
