- Festival customs are generally held in this locality on Saint Stephen's day, and also on Shrove Tuesday night.
On Saint Stephen's day all the young men and women of this locality collect together, and they go hunting the wren. They do this to honour Saint Stephen.
When they are going hunting the wren they dress themselves in peculiar ways. They wear masks over their faces, and the men also wear pinafores. These are called the "wren boys". These "wren boys also have all sorts of music.
They go around to every house gathering money. When they are going into the houses they sing the wren song. When they go into the house they play(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
