There is another way of playing it also. An apple is hung off the ceiling and a chair is placed under it. Then each player gets a stick and he tries to strike the apple and if he succeeds he gets the apple. - I play snap-apple in many ways. I get a tub of water and I put an apple into it and I try to get it.
Another way is to hang an apple from the ceiling and try to bite it. A chair is laid on the ground and a person tries to get the apple.
