    Come: let us away from the noisy town,
    The clamour of crowded marts,
    We will go where the pulse of life beats low to the music of quiet hearts
    Where corncrakes shrill through the scented dusk and the dew drenched meadows are sweet

    Down the winding ways of the old boreen, we wander on spirit wings
    While the haunted air is a-quiver, with nameless things.
    The crickets will chirp a welcome home and the daisies look up to see
    While the long long years that have drained our tears shall fall from us - you and me.

    We will make our way to the fairies well, for deep in its crystal flow.
    May linger gleams of broken dreams, we dreamt long ago.
    Gasing again in its murmuring depths we may see. in a blinding light
