   A tailor is generally considered giddy. He is often referred to as the seventeenth part of a man.
   The implements he uses are:- Needle, thimble, lapboard, iron, measuring tape, chalk, scissors, tailor square, brown paper patterns, and a sewing machine. Cloth made from flax was called linen, which was the material used formerly in the manufacture of shirts.
   Socks and stockings are knitted locally with thread purchased in the shops. Thread is not spun in the homes now, but it was formerly. The relics of some of the spinning wheels used are still to be seen. Dark or navy suits are worn by the well-to-do at funerals. At weddings people generally wear lightly coloured suits.
