The Englishman jumped out of bed, glanced at his watch, and found it was after five o'clock. With great haste he dressed, and to give his toilet the finishing touches he ran to the mirror, and great was his astonishment, to find there before him a black man.
Right away the vision of what he saw the night before dawned on him. So he exclaimed aloud. "O Paddy you amadán, I told you to call me, and there you called the black man."
