channel leading from this liss to a mountain about a 1/4 mile away. One night when a farmer Mr. Dennis Allen who lives next to the liss was coming home from a neighbour's house when he was led astray by "Jack O' The Lantern which he saw not far from the Liss at Fahalea. He strayed around the fields until he found himself on the moving ditch of Shaw's Pond. Here he remained until daybreak when he got home safely. This light has been seen by several people near and away from this fort. An enormous black dog like a wolfhound was seen by several people on an old road between the forts of Fahalea and Cummeen. This dog is seen crossing a little foot bridge which is over a river that crosses the old road. This dog crosses the bridge and goes in the direction of the fort at Cummeen which is about 300 yards away from the river where he crosses.
