   this old catle.

   To the east of our schold there is a very narrow hilly old road. It is called the plough-man's hill. It is said that people were buried beside that old road long ago.

   There was an old road leading from Briska up to Dalton's houses, which are on the Fehard road, and it led from Dalton's houses down to the Kerry Line. Lots of houses were built on that old road. It is not used now because it got bad, and new roads were made instead.

   Long ago there was a plat-form to be seen at every cross road. Here all the young of the locality gathered in the middle of the day to dance. This custom is now dying out, but still at some cross roads there is a plat-form seen, and the young people come to dance there every Sunday evening in the summer-time.
