Now every man should love his home as I do love mine,
And think on every day to come should force on better times
We have O'Brien our leader still we know he is the best,
He'll win our cause and keep at home the boys of sweet Coole West. This was composed by James O'Mahoney Local Poems and Songs
“Young men and maidens and lovers of dance”
The following verse was composed by Michael Tailor in the year 1918. It was composed to publish a dance that was to be held at John Kennedy's, Sugar Hill on Sunday night on the year 1919
John Kennedy's Dance
Young men and maidens and lovers of dance.
Tonight at John Kennedy's two steps and a waltz.
When you are tired of dancing you can sit at your ease.
All kinds of refreshments and pay as you please.
