  1. There was a terrible thunder storm in this parish in the year nineteen hundred and ten.
    In this year a rick of hay owned by Mr Thomas Moran of Upper Athea was burned to the ground by lightning and in the same year a tree in a wood in Upper Athea was split by lightning.
