sort of food}= Long ago the people ate different food and less meals. They ate potatoes and drank sour milk. If they were working at hay or oats 'tis the potatoes and sour milk they would get. The people ate alot of fish and they were stronger than the people nowadays. They had yellow meal gruel and thick milk. The bread was made from fine meal and baked on a griddle. It was called "griddle bread"

vessels - They drank from vessels like cups called piggins.
table = The table was based against the wall when they were eating those meals.
meat = They only ate meat once a week and that time only they got a small bit.
When the potatoes failed they gruel and Indian meal.
