- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)is a great fisher and fowler. He is from dawn to dusk fishing in the river deel. There is also a man in the parish of Drumcollogher by the name of Thomas Kiely, he is supposed to be one of the best thatchers that ever lived. The implements he uses are a knife, hand-leather, edging-stone, and two leather-bags, for holding the scallops. It was a custom long ago that that the thatcher should get a glass of whiskey every morning as long as he would be thatching, and two bottles of porter one at dinner time, and one at the supper.
