In the old days, here in Feenagh bread was made from the wheat and oats grown at home.
After the Autumn [?]hing of the corn, the seed was carefully put away. This corn was ground weekly at home by means of revolving querens. Those were large round stones with large holes in the centre for working. These may be seen yet in the many farm yards. In later years mills were built in Ballingarry, and the corn was taken there for milling. This flour was called 'one way" and it was very good food.
