- There are many roads in this parish some of them are not kept in good repair. Most of them are old, there is a road called the "New Line" which was made in the year '48. It was made to give employment to the poor people. The daily wage was two pence a day.
There is an old road that is not used at all nowadays. It is called the "Cos". Some people say it was the shape of a foot and that is the reason it is called the "Cos". Others say that when the road was in use a man was walking on it and a piece of a stone went into his boot. He had to walk a long way and had no time to take off his boot.
