Mick's fort is about one mile from Ballingarry not far from the road between Ballingarry and Croom.
There is a fort in Lisamote and the people living near that fort used to see lights in it every night.
They thought it was their next neighbour with a lantern around his place and they asked him but he said he was never out with a light. Two of the men went one night to the fort and when they went near the fort the light went out. They levelled the fort and when they were nearly finished they came upon a large flag. They thought that gold was hidden there but they got nothing but a heap of ashes and small
