    the stone, the saddle girth broke and he fell from his horse. The very moment he reached the ground, he became a weak old man, and the white horse sped down to the shore and away over the sea, so fast that he was soon out of sight. So Oisín never returned to the Land of Youth, and he never saw the Princess again. The people pitied the poor old man and sent him to St. Patrick, who received him very kindly. The old hero told his story to the Saint, describing the great deeds of the Fianna and many a long talk they had together.
