    Roinn Roinn Postáil
    In the making of the rush candle people pulled the thick rushes and cut off the green part outside except on one side where the green part was left to keep the candle together. Then they steeped the pith of the rush in grease and let it dry.
    In spinning thread the flax when high and buired it in a bog hole. After a few weeks it was brought home and dried. Then it was pounded with a heavy object and then the women spun it on wheels made for the purpose.
