To the day that we laid her beneath the green sod.
She was serving her country and serving her God.
A talented teacher in Church and in school.
She was loved by the people - the men as a rule.
Her neat little form was fragile and sweet.
From the crown of her head to her neat little feet.
Adored in the schoolroom by each tiny elf.
And so good that the Lord called her all to Himself.Bessie Sutton was teacher in Tervoe from 1905 to 1936.
