bones and all. So one of them staked the money.
A night was arranged for them all to meet there again and a man was chosen to see the calf was killed and that he was six months old. Jackson sent for Ryan and told him he had made a bet that he would eat a calf and Ryan said he was satisfied. On the appointed night the calf was killed and boiled. When it was boiled the flesh was taken off the bones and the bones were boiled a second time. Then they were ground up and mixed through the meat and all put on a large dish. When they were all gathered that night again to see the man eating the calf. Ryan sat down at the table to eat the pie and was not long eating it. When he was finished he looked at Mr Jackson and said bring me the calf now Sir". He had already eaten the calf and could eat another. So Mr Jackson won the bet.
