    held by this family have been divided in recent years by the Irish Land Commission.
    In later years the family changed the name McGuire to Going.
    Mrs Bena Cobden of Staverton Lea, Cheltenham England is the only surviving member of the family. Another daughter Mes Mabel Anna Threlfall, Ruyton Manor, Shrewsbury, Co of Shropshire died recently.
    The rents charged to the tenants from 1800 to 1860 varied from £2 to £3:2:6 per acre.
    In 1878 workmen were paid 10d per day without board and female workers 5d per day without board.
    The enormously heavy rents were paid in part in work by the tenants and members of their families
    In 1879 when pheasants were introduced, all the tenants in Earlshill and Ballyphilip had to destroy their dogs by order of the landlord William Going Esq.,
