    "Come on now" said Billy to the farmer "and we'll go down and get a drink and leave Ould Nick there".
    Billy and the farmer went down to the public house and spent quite a long time there. When they came back the devil had the anvil nearly beaten through the floor.
    "Release me Billy Dawson" he roared and I'll gave you another £500 if you promise to come with me at the end of another Seven years".
    "I promise" said Billy.
    The devil gave him the £500 and went away.
