Every day the King came out watching the progress of the work.

Gobán used to assure him there wasn't. This night when the building was nearing completion, the King's daughter stole out to where Gobán lay and warned him to be on his guard, for said she "when you have completed the house father will put you to death so that you cannot build its like for any one else"
Gobán was sorely perplexed and when he got an opportunity he used knock portion of it and when the King came out start building again.
After some days the King noticed that he was making very little progress.
"You are very slow in finishing the house" said he one day.
"Well" said Gobán "I am unable to put the proper finish to it without a tool which I l left after me in the "island"
"Well" said the King "how are we to get that"(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
