“Between Tipperary and Nenagh there stands a giant rock.”
Between Tipperary and Nenagh there stands a giant rock. It is about four feet high but the curious thing about it is that it is very light and is capable of being shifted by an ordinary man. Not far from the rock stands a bleak cave never explored by anyone. Now it was always believed that there was a crock of Gold hidden under the rock but nobody ever liked to look into the matter for it was believed that the rock was guarded by a bull that was really an aparition. Once a man who thought he was brave went there mostly because he had the prospect of becoming rich before him. He reached the rock in safety but as he was in the act of rolling back the rock seventh instinct prompted him that something was behind him and turning round he beheld the ghostly form of a bull with fierce eyes and two wicked looking horns sticking out sharply from his big forehead. The hero turned a fled but he didnt get far for the bull overtook him and ran him through the back. He was found next morning by and old farmer horrible mangled.- Bailitheoir
