Snuff is sometimes given out at wakes and some years ago clay pipes and tobacco were given round but that custom has now died out.
   A great crowd of men collected there at night fall for the wake and remain all night chatting and talking an telling stories. Drink is given round several times during the night. The Rosary is recited at mid-night. Sometimes when the kitchen is small the people collect in one of the outhouses and remain there for a few hours. It is considered a great insult to the family not to attend a wake at their house and especially for a
