- There is a tunnel in Inishdea about two miles from the village of Ballynacally. The diameter of it is ten feet. It is connected with a tunnel in Cannon Island about four miles away. A certain man was hunting a rabbit, and he ran into a burrow. He dug after the rabbit, and he came to a wooden door. At first he was afraid to open the door, but at length he made efforts to open it. He heard thundering noise inside and he got frightened and went home without opening the door.
A neighbouring man who died recently went into the tunnel. When he went in he followed the tunnel for about one hundred yards. He came to a place where there were shelves on each side of the tunnel with gold pieces piled up on them. He went on further until he came to a steel door. He tried to force it open but failed. He turned a knob in the door and it opened. He found skeletons and bones, he got so horrified he turned back until he came to the steel(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
